New Song – Men’s Prayer Breakfast Ministry Page

About the Men’s Thursday Morning Breakfast Bible Study

Our diverse group, now led by New Song members, continues to grow in understanding God’s word. We have lively open discussions on scripture, having studied over the past few years Forgiveness, Revelations, Matthew, Praying Against Terrorism, Ecclesiastes, Philippians and sections of Acts. Refer to the Men’s Breakfast Calendar for current and future Bible Studies.

We welcome men from all backgrounds to share and grow in understanding the best book ever written. We strive together to learn the full meaning of God’s word in an honest confidential environment. By encouraging all questions, we often find better understanding through friendly supporting interaction with each other. In times of individual need, we support and pray for each other.

Any man is welcome to join us Thursday morning before 7:30am at the Village Pub for prayer, music, humor, a spirited Bible study and fellowship over breakfast or coffee. Studying the Bible provides us a better understanding of God’s Word, through our Saviour Jesus and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4: 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called…

Martin Luther’s Humor on Beer

“Whoever drinks beer, he is quick to sleep; whoever sleeps long, does not sin; whoever does not sin, enters Heaven! Thus, let us drink beer!”

― Martin Luther

—note: beer not served with Men’s Breakfast —

“Whenever the devil harasses you, seek the company of men or drink more, or joke and talk nonsense, or do some other merry thing. Sometimes we must drink more, sport, recreate ourselves, and even sin a little to spite the devil, so that we leave him no place for troubling our consciences with trifles. We are conquered if we try too conscientiously not to sin at all. So when the devil says to you: do not drink, answer him: I will drink, and right freely, just because you tell me not to.”

― Martin Luther

Family Man’s Creed

With God’s help, I will do my best to:

Praise and Honor God Daily
In my thoughts, words and deeds, thus establishing the foundation for my life as a man of integrity and honor.

Honor And Respect My Wife
Loving her as Christ loves the Church and faithfully demonstrating my lifelong commitment to provide for her needs.

Spiritually Protect My Family
Regularly praying for their needs and living the promise: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Emotionally Protect My Family
By speaking words of blessing and encouragement, spending quality time together, and remembering to be slow to anger and quick to extend mercy.

Be Faithful And Physically Protect Those I Love
Through hard work, preparedness, diligence, regular worship and giving of my time and resources as a response to God’s love for me.

Ask the Lord Daily for Guidance, Wisdom and Encouragement
That I may walk in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
